Claims Trainee – Paid Training & Future Opportunities!

Over the course of the next few months we will be launching our Claims Trainee program.  We will provide the requisite training and pay for you to become a licensed claims adjuster. The program is designed to provide a career path to move our best, brightest, and most driven candidates from an entry-level position into a solid, well-established career.

The Position:

If you are selected to join our team, we will train you to be one of our next Claims Representatives.  This group handles personal auto claims involving car accidents and weather-related events.  This position will allow you the opportunity to begin learning the art of investigation, negotiation, and interpretation of policy contracts. 

The Responsibilities:

  • Know, interpret, and enforce insurance law, code, and policy contracts.
  • Successfully negotiate claims with customers, vendors, body shops, and law firms.
  • Provide best-in-class customer service and direction to our claimants.
  • Utilize technology and processes to provide timely resolution to your work.
  • Adhere to all applicable company, state, and federal guidelines as necessary.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • At minimum a Bachelor’s Degree and/or 3-5 years of professional work experience in customer service or sales.
  • Auto claims experience is not required; however, 3-5 years professional work experience as referenced above is required.
  • Ability to secure and maintain adjuster’s license within 30 days of hire

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills a must.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, technical journals/procedures, and financial reports and data. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, employees, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Advanced mathematical skills as it relates to the position.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of financial, legal and technical information.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation abilities.

OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills a must.
  • Computer literate with excellent keyboarding skills.
  • High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
  • Ability to work independently, think creatively and exercise strong, sound judgment.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, flexible. Strong orientation to customer service.
  • Ability to establish credibility with internal and external customers and be decisive, while being able to recognize and support the Company's preferences and priorities.

  • Ability to prioritize activities and projects. Skilled at time management and attention to administrative detail.
