Job Description

  • Responding to State Agencies and Better Business Bureau regarding customer complaints which includes: Research and review of customer file history, printing file documents, performing interviews, preparing sales statements, draft proposed response, report any errors or company policy violations, suggest improvements/training needed
  • Work with internal sales team to obtain documents required by carriers
  • Complete and submit forms required to establish new accounts with insurance companies for new locations, sales team, and acquired agencies
  • Assist Compliance Manager/Director with preparation of reports for other departments in relation to state complaints, carrier commission rates, premium totals, and others as needed or requested
  • Prepare memos and notify sales team of carrier, and internal policy and procedure changes
  • Act as a resource to internal departments by providing support and guidance to questions related to compliance of insurance regulations and company policies and procedures
  • Audit internal forms for accuracy, and update/revise as necessary
  • Miscellaneous projects

Job Requirements

Job requirements:

  • Some Insurance experience preferred specifically in auto a plus
  • Must be proficient in Excel and Word
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Legal/compliance experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and maintain a sense of urgency
  • Ability to multi task
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written skills

Education/Experience:

  • Some college preferred
  • Total Years Related Work Experience: 1 year preferred
  • Practical experience in internal compliance/policies and procedures and/or auto insurance
  • Ability to exercise discretion when dealing with sensitive information
  • Experience and ability to communicate and work well with all levels of employees
  • Practical experience in writing business letters
